Kalna College Library provides the following services to its users-

1. Lending service: The library users may get books for reading at home for a particular period. After the due date is over, they have to return the books or get them reissued.
2. Reading service: The library users may read any book, journal, magazine, question papers of previous examinations or other materials of the library collection within the library premises by following certain rules.
3. OPAC services: The users may search catalogue of the library collection through Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) and view their personal profiles and request for any modification if required, status of borrowed books, current availability of any particular book of the library collection and may put purchase suggestions before the library. Through OPAC they can also have access through links to a number of e-resources.
4. Reference and information service: As mentioned earlier, the library holds a number of useful reference sources through which any library user may get ready information to satisfy their needs for studies and research. They can access through links provided in the OPAC a number of digital collections of books, journals and research materials.
5. Providing information on request: The library is always ready to meet the information needs of the users sincerely. If any user feels unable to find out any information by utilizing the materials and sources available in the library and seeks help, the staff members try sincerely to provide him/her with necessary search mechanism or readily provide the information itself.
6. Assistance in the use of catalogue: The library staff members always help the users to learn how to search the library catalogue effectively to find out the information they need.
7. Career-oriented information: The library holds a number of career-related magazines which the students may avail for the preparation of competitive examinations.
