Kalna College under the University of Burdwan is a prominent Government-aided Degree College of Purba Bardhaman district. It started its journey in the year 1943. The Institution earned its affiliation from the University as well as recognized by the UGC and also considered eligible to receive central assistance through UGC u/s 12(B). The college has earned for itself the reputation of being a premiere institution in the state of West Bengal since inception. The teachers bear countless responsibility of their students’ physical, psychological and emotional development. The motto of this institution is to empower the students and teachers with professional and social competencies to compete with the challenging world. Through its various activities the college aspires to provide an environmental assistance to its students and teachers to make them realize their full potential, to enable them to play their roles effectively in the society in which they live in.
